Dr. Walter Ehrenfeuchter earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in 1979. He then served as the first resident in the history of the profession in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM).
Dr. Ehrenfeuchter is board-certified by and a fellow of the American Academy of Osteopathy (FAAO), one of the few earned fellowships in medicine. In addition to providing clinical care at the Georgia Osteopathic Care Center, Dr. Ehrenfeuchter (affectionately known as Dr. E) is a professor, teaching OMM to medical students at PCOM Georgia.
He serves on a number of national committees for the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO), the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME), the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and the Educational Council on Osteopathic Principles, as well as the Deutsch-Americanishe Akademie fuer Osteopathie (German-American Academy of Osteopathy).
